
About summer learning full-credit courses
- All classes run in-person, Monday to Friday from July 3 until August 2, out of New Westminster Secondary School in the morning or afternoon. Morning classes run from 8:20 a.m. until 12:00 noon and the afternoon classes run from 12:30 p.m. until 4:10 p.m.
- Space is limited and assigned on a first come, first serve basis.
- Classes may be cancelled if there is insufficient interest.
- Classes are free for most students (see note about fees for international students in the “How to register” section).
- Daily attendance is mandatory. Students who miss two classes will be automatically withdrawn.
How to register
- Applicants will need a PEN number to register.
- If you have questions or need help, please contact us.
- International students: Register as an in-district or out-of-district student (depending on your status). As an international student, fees will apply per course.
In-district student registration
Please note: Students are considered “in-district” if they are currently enrolled within the New Westminster Schools (SD40) system.
- Summer learning 2024 registration for in-district students opens on April 3 at 9 a.m.

Out-of-district and international student registration
Please note: In-district students (i.e. those currently attending school in New Westminster – SD40) have priority placement.
- Summer learning 2024 registration for out-of-district students opens on May 1 at 9 a.m.
- Out-of-district students: Please have your current school counsellor download and complete a out-of-district student proof of enrollment form to finalize your enrollment.
- Email the form to registrations to secure your spot.
- We will not process your application without the form.
