\"\"Ready, Set, Learn<\/h2>\n

Each year families and their three- to five-year-olds are invited to their neighbourhood school to attend a fun-filled Ready, Set, Learn<\/em> event, where they can meet school staff and a variety of community service providers. Ready, Set, Learn<\/em> is about providing information about how to support a young child\u2019s early learning and development. This is an invitation for all three- to five year-olds to come and play!<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Education supports Ready, Set, Learn<\/em> throughout the province, in collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Family Development, and the Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n

All parents\/guardians and their three to five year-old children<\/strong><\/em> are invited to attend New Westminster School District\u2019s Ready, Set, Learn events, to take part in play based activities while learning about our programs and services and connecting with community partners. \u00a0Come out for our fun-filled event and meet our district staff, teachers and administrators who will help you prepare for Kindergarten<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ready Set Learn 2024 is here!<\/h2>\n

Children ages 3 to 5 years\u00a0and their parent\/guardian\/caregiver within the New Westminster Schools’ community are invited to attend one of the district’s Ready, Set, Learn events this spring! Under the theme of: Come Play with Us!<\/em> <\/strong>Ready Set Learn is designed to\u00a0foster\u00a0positive connections among families, schools,\u00a0and early learning community partners. Facilitated by early childhood educators , the events\u00a0will involve a variety of stations focused on learning through literacy and play that align with the Ministry of Education and Child Care’s BC\u00a0Early Learning Framework.<\/p>\n

Ready Set Learn events are free for families, \u00a0and will be organized outdoors, from 4 to 5pm, at the following schools:<\/p>\n

April 24 – Qayqayt Elementary<\/p>\n

May 8 – Queen Elizabeth Elementary<\/p>\n

May 15 – Skwo:wech Elementary<\/p>\n

May 29 – Connaught Heights Elementary<\/p>\n

Child Care Resources and Referral (CCRR) and Westminster After School Society (WCAS) will be present to share information on services they provide to families in our school communities.<\/p>\n
