Schools will send out the dates and time after registration has taken place.<\/p>\n<h2>Transition to Middle School \/ Secondary School:<\/h2>\n<h3>Student Articulation<\/h3>\n<p>The teachers at each school complete a student articulation form for every student. This provides the new school with important information about your child. School-Based Teams meet to review their new students and develop a transition plan with the elementary school staff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Transition Planning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your child\u2019s Learning Support Teacher will be your main contact for transition to their new school.<\/p>\n<p>Learning support teachers will work with families and the new school to develop and facilitate a transition plan for students. For some students, this may involve visits to the new school in the spring.<\/p>\n<h2>Our Middle and Secondary Schools:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>\u00c9cole Glenbrook Middle School (\u00c9GMS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00c9GMS offers programs in English and French. It is home to the district\u2019s Late and Early French Immersion programs for students in grades 6 through 8.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Queensborough Middle School (QMS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>QMS has students in grades 5 through 8.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fraser River Middle School (FRMS)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FRMS has students in grades 6 through 8.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Westminster Secondary School (NWSS) Grades 9-12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All New Westminster students will attend NWSS &#8211; New Westminster Secondary School.<\/p>\n<h3>Transition to Adulthood<\/h3>\n<p>Your child\u2019s Learning Support Teacher will work with you and the appropriate outside agencies to facilitate their transition to adult programming.
