POWER Alternate Secondary School offers students high school graduation with the Dogwood Diploma and incorporates academic opportunities and individualized support and instruction, as well as recreational and artistic experiences.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-box su-box-style-default\" id=\"\" style=\"border-color:#247797;border-radius:0px\"><div class=\"su-box-title\" style=\"background-color:#57AACA;color:#E6D9BE;border-top-left-radius:0px;border-top-right-radius:0px\">POWER School Learning Plan 2022-2023<\/div><div class=\"su-box-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"border-bottom-left-radius:0px;border-bottom-right-radius:0px\">At Power Secondary School, our goal is for\u00a0 students to feel engaged in their learning. Each term, a different combination of grade ten, eleven and twelve courses is offered. Students take all of the required courses for their high school diploma. The school&#8217;s educators are certified by the BC College of Teachers.<\/p>\n<h3>POWER Alternate Secondary School offers&#8230;<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>High School Graduation in a smaller supportive environment with flexible individualized schedules and timetables<\/li>\n<li>Three terms per year, each with a different set of structured courses. Equal semesters offer students a chance to focus on fewer courses each term, while still completing numerous courses in a school year<\/li>\n<li>A sense of community through the sharing of breakfasts, lunches and celebration meals, as well as through various fun activities, events, field trip and outings<\/li>\n<li>Regular meetings between student and teacher that fosters an understanding for individual circumstances and monitors attendance and progress<\/li>\n<li>Personal counselling, as well as connections to external resources<\/li>\n<li>Recognition Day &#8211;
