The NWSS Summer Band Camp is coming up July 2-20\u00a0 &#8211; and the theme is Video Games!<\/p>\n<p>Every year, the NWSS Music Department offers the camp for students from New Westminster and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a chance for middle school students to make a connection to the high school, meet more senior students and teachers, and make connections.<\/p>\n<p>Senior students are hired to tutor younger musicians and run activities during the week.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<blockquote><p>Check out our <a href=\"https:\/\/newwestschools.ca\/archive_241212\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/BAND-CAMP-VIDEO-GAME-EDITION.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAQ and sign up with our Registration Form<\/a> Now!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The daily schedule offers sessions in beginner band &#8211; newbies welcome! &#8211; and in advanced band for those with more than one year of experience on their instrument, as well as jazz band.<\/p>\n<p>The camp wraps up with a live performance in Queen&#8217;s Park.\u00a0 Students can register for as much of the three-week camp as they like.\u00a0 Find out more <a href=\"https:\/\/newwestschools.ca\/archive_241212\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/BAND-CAMP-VIDEO-GAME-EDITION.pdf\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students will have a place to make music and friends over the summer break.
