\"\"<\/span>On behalf of the Board of Education and district staff, we would like to take the opportunity\u00a0<\/span>on this special day<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>to celebrate and thank you for your hard work as \u201cthe heartbeat of public education.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The critical work you do on a daily basis, both inside and outside the classroom, to prepare children and youth for the future is deeply appreciated<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and profoundly inspiring. Your unwavering commitment to create New Westminster Schools as a place where students love to learn is taking shape in so many ways across the district and truly transforming our educational landscape.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our recent\u00a0Curriculum Implementation Day<\/i><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Engaging Indigenous Perspectives Edcamp<\/a><\/i><\/span>,<\/span><\/i> <\/i>where your professionalism and commitment were evident,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>exemplified this transformation in action.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>As we continue to embed the core competencies in learning across all curriculum areas, \u00a0we\u00a0<\/span>are seeing and will continue to see\u00a0increased student engagement and achievement. And, as we take\u00a0<\/span><\/span>R<\/span>econciliation to heart, we will continue to foster equitable and inclusive learning environments for all.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your leadership and willingness to take risks in order to create something better is exciting. Our journey continues as we build for our future now.<\/span><\/p>\n
