Student teams held a city-wide blitz for the upcoming NWSS 12-hour\/non-stop BANDATHON Event<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n October 18, 2017 –\u00a0<\/em>Sound the note!\u00a0 The legendary 12-hour, non-stop BANDATHON music-making marathon is coming up October 28.<\/p>\n It’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for the parent-led NWSS music auxiliary. <\/span><\/p>\n In the weeks leading up to the event, student teams fanned out across the city, going door-to-door to let everybody know about the New Westminster Secondary School music program – and to This year, choir students will also be joining the event with their own contribution of a three-hour Choir-a-thon.<\/span><\/p>\n Donations for the 8th annual event will help in the purchase and maintenance of musical instruments and will support students fund their spring performance trips – which for the junior band will be a trip to Whistler and for the Senior Band, a journey to Cuba. <\/span><\/p>\n To make a donation through paypal and to learn more, visit the NWSS MUSIC program website here:\u00a0http:\/\/www.nwssmusic.com\/<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n The NWSS Music education program is diverse, engaging, respectful and inspired.
