BUY TICKETS NOW!!!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Backstage with dancers, musicians, stage technicians, performers, teachers: work begins a year before the production…<\/p><\/blockquote>\n January 29, 2018<\/em> – The New Westminster Secondary Musical Theatre Program is excited to be bringing another hit musical to the Massey Theatre stage February 21 to 24, 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n More than 100 students in musical theatre – and in related music, dance and stage technician programs – have been pouring heart and soul into the “superbly entertaining” romantic comedy Crazy <\/strong>For You, <\/strong>with music by George Gershwin, lyrics by Ira Gershwin and based on the book by Ken Ludwig.<\/p>\n Get your tickets here!<\/a><\/p>\n NWSS is proud of its long tradition of outstanding musical stage productions. Since 2008, NWSS students have been wowing audiences with their outstanding musical productions including<\/p>\n When he is sent to the sleepy town of Deadrock, Nevada to foreclose on a theatre, he meets Polly Baker whose father happens to own the theatre and he falls dramatically and hopelessly in love with her.<\/p>\n Audiences will be taken on an entertaining journey filled with cunning wit and mistaken identity as Bobby attempts to win Polly\u2019s heart and save the theatre.<\/p>\n The show features many Gershwin classics such as: \u201cI got Rhythm,\u201d \u201cSomeone to Watch Over Me,\u201d and \u201cSlap that Bass.\u201d<\/p>\n Rehearsals for the production started in November and ran for a month of weekends, with production week featuring daily stage work and preparation before Opening Night.<\/p>\n The NWSS Musical Theatre program is looking for individuals who would like to support this year’s program by becoming a donor.<\/p>\n While we encourage patrons to donate at the levels above, any donation of $25 or more will receive a tax receipt from SD40.<\/strong><\/p>\n Cheques must be made payable to \u201cSD40\u201d with \u201cNWSS Musical Theatre Program\u201d noted in the memo field of the cheque. Cheques can be mailed\/delivered to the main office at NWSS (835 8th Street New Westminster V3M 3S9) care of Ms Kelly Proznick, Musical Theatre Program.<\/p>\n A credit card form can be found here<\/a>.
