March 12, 2018 – Round 2 Community Consultation for the new New Westminster Secondary School (NWSS) is coming to a close soon. Thank you to all who have already provided feedback and attended consultation meetings.<\/p>\n

Thursday, March 15, is the last day to submit your feedback on the new school.<\/b>\u00a0Consultation materials, including the\u00a0Discussion Guide<\/a>\u00a0and online\u00a0Feedback Form<\/a>\u00a0are available at\u00a0newnwss.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Your feedback is important to us. Input received through this community consultation will be compiled and considered by the School District, along with technical, environmental and financial considerations, in the final design for the new NWSS. Following the end of the consultation period, feedback will be compiled and summarized in a Consultation Summary Report which will be posted online.<\/p>\n

Construction Start<\/b><\/p>\n

We are now in Phase 1 of construction which includes the final design and building of the new school, opening in September 2020.<\/p>\n

As part of site preparation for building the new school, the contractor Graham Design Builders LP will be installing site fencing and conducting additional geotechnical test investigations to better understand the soil and earth conditions on the site. Click\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0for more information on this work, and to keep up to date on future construction notices.<\/p>\n
