Building on Commitment to Student Success: Maryam Naser Named Associate Superintendent
May 30, 2018 – Maryam Naser, a dedicated educator with more than 20 years of experience spanning pre-kindergarten to graduation at both classroom and district levels, has been named District Associate Superintendent of New Westminster Schools.
For the past three years, she has served as Director of Instruction, Learning and Innovation in the district, leading new and exciting initiatives that support student success in areas that include literacy, technology, assessment, and professional development. Naser’s diverse portfolio has given her an overall understanding of the function and context of district departments, from finance and human resources to facilities and technologies. She has worked collaboratively with administrators, teachers, staff and itinerant teams, and brings a track record of influencing change through leadership development and innovative practice.
She looks forward with anticipation to contributing to a positive and respectful culture at New Westminster Schools, where learning is valued and student outcomes are paramount.

Maryam assumes her new role starting June 1.
