For information on how to register for a new school year, including key deadlines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/newwestschools.ca\/our-schools\/registration\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/newwestschools.ca\/our-schools\/registration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the district registration page<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Registering during the school year or after the deadline<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Please <a href=\"https:\/\/outlook.office365.com\/owa\/calendar\/RegistrationsCalendar@sd40.bc.ca\/bookings\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/outlook.office365.com\/owa\/calendar\/RegistrationsCalendar@sd40.bc.ca\/bookings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">book an appointment<\/a> with our registration team and bring completed registration forms and required paperwork. You may also bring originals and our staff will make copies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you do not have paperwork, let our registration team know when you arrive.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-out-of-catchment-and-transfer-applications\">Out-of-catchment and transfer applications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications for out-of-catchment and transfer applications are only accepted at certain times and under certain conditions. For more information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/newwestschools.ca\/our-schools\/registration\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/newwestschools.ca\/our-schools\/registration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the district registration page<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4-what-happens-if-a-school-is-full\">What happens if Connaught Heights is full?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Schools that are at <a href=\"https:\/\/newwestschools.ca\/about-new-west-schools\/capacity-crisis-at-our-schools\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/newwestschools.ca\/about-new-west-schools\/capacity-crisis-at-our-schools\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">maximum capacity<\/a> <strong>will not<\/strong> accept out-of-catchment applications or transfers, except for siblings who already attend an out-of-catchment school.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Placements at high-demand schools are determined through a <strong>lottery draw<\/strong> (with priority given to siblings).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students who cannot get into their catchment school are placed in the next available school.
