Occupancy on the new NWSS!

We have reached an important milestone in the build of our new New Westminster Secondary School, and wanted to share that with you … as promised when we announced the delay last Spring.

Today, with excitement, we are happy to share this news: we have officially received our occupancy permit on the new building.

That means we’re on track to move from the current building into the new one over the Winter Break … putting us in the position to welcome staff, then students into the school starting the week of January 4^th, 2021.

Now, there is still much work to be done and many logistics that need to line up. We will continue to monitor the full scope of the project daily, as we launch more heavily into the work required to move.

More information will come soon around exact dates and details, including:

• An orientation schedule for students and staff at the school
• An opening ceremony date
• And other opportunities for staff, students and the community
  to experience the new school.

In the meantime, we thank you for your continued interest, patience and shared excitement about what this new school will add to our community.
