Our first-ever, district-wide event for exploring learning opportunities!

Your thoughts on Discovering New Westminster Schools…

On Wednesday January 8, we hosted a very special event called “Discover New Westminster Schools”.

We were excited to host over 500 families at the Massey Theatre/New West Secondary School and share with them the exciting and innovative programs and opportunities we offer to our K-12 students.

A Showcase for learning options…

During our event, we invited families and students to explore the programs, learning options and courses we have to offer our students – from kindergarten to grade 12.

Our first-ever, district-wide Discover New Westminster Schools event showcased ways to enrich your, or your student’s, learning experience and encouraged you to:

  • Discover learning through Apprenticeships, Fine arts or Technology Education.
  • Explore options for French Immersion, Robotics and Montessori.
  • Learn about Indigenous and Inclusive Education, our International Baccalaureate or Community Schools programs –
  • and much more!

Our agenda…

An New Westminster Schools, we’re transforming student learning. We explained how during an Introduction with Superintendent Karim Hachlaf.

We then provided an opportunity for you to meet teachers and students during breakout sessions in the Massey Gym from 6:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
