The warning bell will ring at 8:31 a.m. and classes will begin at 8:36 a.m., with the school day ending at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday, September 2,  students in Grades 5, 6 and 7 will be attending for approximately one hour (between 8:36 a.m. and 9:36 a.m.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Grade 8 students will be attending for most of day and will be dismissed at 1:30 p.m., as there will be lessons and team-building activities planned for them. All Grade 8 students are asked to pack a lunch and bring their water bottles on Tuesday. This scheduling difference is based on Ministry of Education and Child Care requirements for instructional time, which is higher for Grade 8 than Grades 5-7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is the schedule for Tuesday, September 2 (8:36 a.m.):<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All Grade 8 students (both returning and new students) will meet on the grass field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All Grade 6 and 7 students will meet with their last year\u2019s teacher.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Div. 5 \u2013 Room 206 \u2013 Riel Villeneuve<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Div. 6 \u2013 Room 208 \u2013 Apinder Sekhon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Div. 7 \u2013 Room 201 \u2013 Angie Takhar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Div. 8 \u2013 Room 216 \u2013 Colleen Carrington<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Div. 9 \u2013 Room 214 \u2013 Marc Rouleau<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Div. 10 \u2013 Room 132 \u2013 Ms. Averill<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Div. 11 \u2013 Room 203 \u2013 Gurmeet Grewall<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Div. 12 \u2013 Room 124 \u2013 Heather Scharf<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Div. 13 \u2013 Portable 6 \u2013 Peter Ha<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Div. 14 \u2013 Portable 4 \u2013 Kim Johal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All Grade 5 students from QE (registered) will meet in the gym.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All new Grade 5, 6, 7 students will meet in the multi purpose room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Grade 5 to 7 students are dismissed (at 9:36 a.m.), they are asked to go home, as there are still grade 8 classes in session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Wednesday, September 3&nbsp;all students will be attending for the full day. Please make sure that your child brings their lunch, water bottle and school supplies with them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Wednesday, Grade 8 students will go directly to their new classrooms, while all Grade 6 and 7 students will again meet with their last year\u2019s teachers, and all Grade 5 students will meet in the gym.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking forward to welcoming all our students, new and returning, to QMS on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
