October 18, 2017 – Sound the note! The legendary 12-hour, non-stop BANDATHON music-making marathon is coming up October 28.
It’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for the parent-led NWSS music auxiliary.
In the weeks leading up to the event, student teams fanned out across the city, going door-to-door to let everybody know about the New Westminster Secondary School music program – and to collect pledges for the 8th annual Bandathon event.
This year, choir students will also be joining the event with their own contribution of a three-hour Choir-a-thon.
Donations for the 8th annual event will help in the purchase and maintenance of musical instruments and will support students fund their spring performance trips – which for the junior band will be a trip to Whistler and for the Senior Band, a journey to Cuba.
