Summer school registration is open

Has your child struggled to keep on-track through all the challenges this school year has delivered? Do they need just a bit more support to solidify the fundamentals? Want them to get a jump on next year’s classes?

Summer school is a great way to support students through this unusual year and set them up for success for the 2020/2021 school year. Options are available for all kinds of learners:

Like all school experiences over the last few months, this year’s summer learning programs will look a bit different than other years have. The exact schedule will be confirmed soon. But here’s what you can expect to see from this year’s summer school offerings:

  • Face-to-face instruction on some days and remote learning on other days.
  • Strict new physical distancing and other safety protocols in place to keep everyone safe.

(For students currently registered in New Westminster’s K-12 classes only: where access to technology is an issue – to support the remote learning portions – Chromebook loans for the duration of the class can be coordinated.)

So, whether your child needs grades 7-9 literacy and numeracy support, would benefit from a preview to a course they may take again later, or wants an extra credit to make room for additional courses this fall, there’s an option for all kinds of learners.

Registration is open now! Course offerings and registration info are available at:

We will make final decisions on classes soon. Sign up quickly to secure a spot … and help give your child that bit of extra support to make September’s transition easier and more successful.
