June 30, 2025 Principal’s Message

Dear EGMS families,
Congratulations to our students on the official completion of the 2024-2025 school year! This is an incredible accomplishment.
Please see the below homeroom teacher list for the 2025-2026 school year; we look forward to sharing more detailed information around September start-up in late August. Please note that this is only a general list of teachers in no particular order; students will not find out their specific homeroom and teacher until their first day of school.

On the first day of school, September 2nd, Grade 8 students will attend school from 8:41 am to 2:00 pm, and grade 6 and 7 students will attend school for one hour at a designated time specific to their team. Information will be emailed to families in August about whether your grade 6 or 7 child will attend from 9:30-10:30 am or 10:45-11:45 am.
The following day, September 3rd, will be a regular full day of instruction for all students from 8:41 am to 3:00 pm.
Once again, we wish our current grade 8 students all the best at NWSS, and warmly welcome our incoming grade 6 students to the EGMS school community.
For any students looking for additional support over the summer regarding mental health & wellness, relationships and boundary-setting, substance use and harm reduction, and more, the wonderful Manya Edwardson will be offering sessions at the NWSS Wellness Centre from 9 am to 3pm on Mondays and Thursdays, or by appointment.
