What is dry grad?
Dry grad is a drug and alcohol free celebration organized by parent volunteers to honour the accomplishments of Grade 12 students in a safe, fun, and supervised environment. This event is separate from the grad dinner and dance (Prom).
Event Details
- The event will be held at Central City Fun Park on Tuesday June 23rd, following the Graduation Ceremony.
- It is a late night event running from approximately 10pm to 3am.
- Transportation to the event is provided after the ceremony, and returning back to NWSS at the end of the night.

Tickets
- Tickets must be pre-purchased (no sales at the door).
- Sales begin after spring break.

Supporting dry grad
Dry grad is a parent-led, highly subsidized event, with ticket sales covering only a portion of the total cost. Community support is vital to make this celebration possible.
The Dry Grad organizers operate as a committee under the Parent Advisory Council (PAC).

- Volunteer at fundraising events or lead a fundraiser
- Reach out to businesses for sponsorship and donations (email the Committee for a letter to support your ask!).
- Consider making a donation.
To donate, visit School Cash Online and select “NWSS DRY GRAD” as the fund destination. Tax receipts are issued by the district for all eligible donations. Please forward your receipt to newwestdrygrad@gmail.com to help with our tracking and budgeting.
