Stay fit and active at QMS
Queensborough Middle School offers a range of athletic opportunities for students in Grades 6 to 8. Boys and girls can join school teams in basketball, volleyball, and floor hockey.
Practices typically take place before school or during lunch, while games are held after school.

QMS athletic code of ethics
We encourage all students to join and participate in our extra-curricular activities. Our goal for each child is to develop cooperative and sportsmanship skills while being a member of a sports team.
A strong focus on participation, as well as healthy competition, will be emphasized. Students may remove themselves from our sports teams if they do not meet the expectations for our code of ethics.
As a member of the QMS sports team, students must observe the following:
- Be punctual for school, practices and games.
- Complete homework and class assignments on time.
- Behave in a respectful manner in class and at school.
- Be polite and considerate to all staff, coaches, and visitors.
- Show respect for all communities while travelling to and from schools.
- Respect the rights of others to have a safe environment free from threats, intimidation, aggression, violence, and improper language.
- Respect the rules and fair play.
- Be graceful in victory or defeat.
- Offer encouragement, not criticism – realize that a commitment to the team means that every effort will be made to attend all practises and games.
