Paving of the Access Road between Ryall and School – Nov. 2 – 6
The lane will be CLOSED for the whole week while paving takes place. Families will need to enter line up areas from the front of the school or the 2 back gates by the portables.
Grade 1 family routines will be impacted as we will be using the new sidewalk to walk to line up spots. Line up spots will be slightly altered to accommodate some crowding. Please be mindful that we may have more crowding in the line up areas for this week as families will be using the sidewalk areas.
To help with congestion in this area please drop off child to the line up area that will be marked by a colour bucket. We will have staff supervision in this area so parents can leave once they have dropped students off. Supervision will begin at 8:40 to help with congestion in this area.
West Coast Weather
We are now fully into our fall weather. Please make sure to have your children dress for all types of weather. It will be very rare that we have students stay inside at recess and lunch so please ensure that your children are dressed to be outside every day for a minimum of 45 minutes every day.
It will be important to make sure that all students have clothing and outerwear that supports rain and cold weather (raincoats, mittens, warm winter jackets, boots). It is also a very good idea to pack extra socks, and pants for those times when students may need a change of clothes. We are encouraging families to have your children leave an umbrella at school as well as extra clothes – students have personal coat hooks and cubbies to keep umbrellas and extra clothes.
