School learning plan
Connaught Heights’ learning plan outlines key goals to support student learning and well-being. It helps guide teaching practices, set priorities, and track progress over time.
Our plan is based on school and district data and is updated every year.
Code of Conduct
All Connaught Heights students are expected to follow the school’s code of conduct.
Programs and services
Early learning
We offer two programs to help prepare children for Kindergarten:
- Welcome to Kindergarten provides parents with tips and tools to support their child’s transition to school.
- Ready, Set, Learn introduces four-year-olds to the school environment.
StrongStart at Connaught Heights
Connaught Heights’ StrongStart program offers free drop-in programs for children aged 0 to 5 and their parents or caregivers.
Qualified early childhood educators lead fun learning activities like story time, music and art, which are designed to introduce young children to learning through play.
Inclusive education
Connaught Heights and New Westminster Schools provide support to help all students learn by offering services to meet different learning needs.
Indigenous student support
Connaught Heights Elementary supports the academic and social success of Indigenous students through culturally rich experiences and dedicated support. An indigenous support worker works directly with students and helps share Indigenous culture throughout our school community.
