OBJECTIVESKEY RESULTS
Objective 1: Students will have equitable, inclusive, barrier-free access to physical indoor and outdoor learning environments.


Objective 2: Students will be able to learn in right-sized facilities that are in reasonable proximity to their homes.


Objective 3: Students will learn in clean and healthy buildings.


Objective 4: Students will be supported in apprenticeship opportunities
Key Result 1: Complete upgrades of critical systems within buildings (roofing, lighting, fire suppression/intrusion, HVAC).

Key Result 2: Assess accessibility district-wide and where gaps exist, build into operating & capital budgets.

Key Result 3: Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules including fire alarm, sprinkler, hvac/ventilation systems.

Key Result 4: Support student apprenticeship in work experience requirements.

Key Result 5: Develop capital plans that take into account capacity pressures and optimal learning environments.

2. Access to child care after-hours activities for families

OBJECTIVESKEY RESULTS
Objective 1: Parents will have access to childcare spaces.


Objective 2: Families will have opportunities to engage with operations to develop trusting relationships.
Key Result 1: Support PACs in enhancing school experiences for students with clear communication and processes.

Key Result 2: Add and support child care spaces, as space permits and in keeping with direction from the Board of Education.

Key Result 3: Provide Facility rental offerings to community and families.

3. Access to safe, healthy, green working environments for employees

OBJECTIVESKEY RESULTS
Objective 1: Employees will have equitable, inclusive, barrier-free access to physical indoor and outdoor work environments.


Objective 2: Staff will receive support and the right tools to do the job.


Objective 3: Staff input on professional development and suggestions on department improvements will be valued and considered.


Objective 4:
Staff will have opportunity to connect to student learning.
Key Results 1: Assess confined spaces to prepare for training.

Key Results 2: Provide relevant professional development guided by Operations management with input from employees.

Key Results 3: Certify employees for career advancement.

Key Results 4: Clear communication in staff meetings, OH&S meetings and informally.

Key Results 5: Assess any gaps in departmental staffing needs.

4. Develop and support strong community partnerships, enhancing student success

OBJECTIVESKEY RESULTS
Objective 1: Develop meaningful relationships with community partners.


Objective 2: Utilize community partnerships to support students and families. 


Objective 3: Support efforts to mitigate the climate emergency.
Key Result 1: Welcome community into schools by making spaces accessible.

Key Result 2: Support City of New Westminster and Parks and Recreation in events and school fields bookings.

Key Result 3: Support use of our buildings through Facility Rentals (e.g. municipal, provincial, or federal elections).

Key Result 4: Facilitate safety inspections within our building with authorities having jurisdiction such as Fire Department, WorkSafe BC, TSBC, or SPP.

Key Result 5: Develop capital plans that take into account ways to reduce the district’s carbon footprint.

Key Result 6: Use AFG, SEP, CNCP funds to reduce district carbon footprint.
