POWER offers students an alternate secondary school experience that emphasizes greater individualized support and instruction, flexible schedules and timetables, and close-knit community learning.
Program features include:
- Flexible schedules and timetables to accommodate student needs.
- A variety of structured, self-paced courses offered across three terms per year or equal semesters to focus on fewer courses each term.
- Community building through shared breakfasts, lunches and celebration meals, and activities such as field trips and events.
- Regular one-on-one teacher meetings to monitor attendance and progress.
- Personal counselling and connections to external sources.
