POWER offers students an alternate secondary school experience that emphasizes greater individualized support and instruction, flexible schedules and timetables, and close-knit community learning.

Program features include:

  • Flexible schedules and timetables to accommodate student needs.
  • A variety of structured, self-paced courses offered across three terms per year or equal semesters to focus on fewer courses each term.
  • Community building through shared breakfasts, lunches and celebration meals, and activities such as field trips and events.
  • Regular one-on-one teacher meetings to monitor attendance and progress.
  • Personal counselling and connections to external sources.
