All district schools and buildings have ventilation systems that the district’s facilities team maintain in excellent working order to ensure clean air cycles inside.
Newer schools like New Westminster Secondary meet or exceed recommended air quality levels while older buildings are undergoing upgrades over time to ensure they, too, meet modern standards.

New Westminster Schools has protocols and practices in place reduce the risk of communicable diseases. To keep our community safe and healthy, please remember to:
- Stay home when sick.
- Follow advice given by medical professionals and/or health authorities on when it is safe to return to work/school following an illness.
- Practice good hygiene habits such as covering your mouth when coughing, washing/sanitizing your hands, etc.
