Qayqayt Seamless Day offers 24 child care spaces for kindergarten and grade one students that rune from September to June. The program focuses on building key childhood development areas such as emotional, physical, intellectual, social, and practical life skills by acknowledging a child’s natural desire to learn and explore at a young age.
Qayqayt Seamless Day works in collaboration with the Westminster Children’s After School Society (WCAS) to prepare its students to transition to WCAS before- and after-school programs for children entering grade two or higher (space permitting).
Schedule and fees
- Kindergarten students – $200 per month (after Child Care Reduction Initiative fee reductions applied).
- Grade one students – $348.50 per month (after Child Care Reduction Initiative fee reductions applied).
Fees are due on the first of each month and collected through School Cash Online. Please also note fees remain the same regardless of the number of days attended. Tax receipts are issued after the end of the calendar year and no later than February.
Some families and single parents making a household income of $111,000 or less may qualify for the Affordable Child Care Benefit.
Qayqayt Seamless Day is open Monday to Friday and follows the school calendar:
- Before school hours – 7 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.
- After school hours – 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Closed on all statutory holidays, seasonal school breaks, and non-instruction days.

Spaces at Qayqayt Seamless Day are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
The program is currently full, and a waitlist is in effect. Staff will contact waitlist applicants if space becomes available.
