Beedie Luminaries Awards “SHINE” Scholarship to NWSS Grad
New Westminster, B.C. – New Westminster Schools is thrilled to share that graduating New Westminster Secondary School student Rawan Altarazi has been awarded the SHINE (Soaring Higher IN Education) scholarship from the Beedie Luminaries foundation.
The $44,000 award will support Altarazi as she begins her undergraduate studies at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. She received the scholarship in a separate celebration during the school’s graduation ceremony held on the evening of June 24 at Queen’s Park Arena. After receiving the award, Altarazi joined her secondary school peers to walk across the stage for her diploma.
