  • Students applying for a Program of Choice must first be enrolled in a regular catchment school.
  • Enrollment and placement decisions are based on space availability.
  • We will not accept 2026-2027 registrations before November 3.
  • Students who register after the deadline are not guaranteed placement at a preferred school or catchment due to the district’s on-going capacity challenges.
  • The district may use a lottery system to place in-catchment school students if demand for spots far exceed available room.

Registering during the school year or after the deadline

Please book an appointment with our registration team and bring completed registration forms and required paperwork. Also note the following:

  • Students are placed in schools where spaces are available, by catchment.
  • New students are unlikely to receive placement in their school of choice.

How to register

1. Book an appointment

2. Download and print requirement paperwork

3. What to do on the day of your appointment

Out-of-catchment and transfer applications

Out-of-Catchment Transfer Applications and Out-of-District Applications are CLOSED for the 2026/27 school year unless there is already a sibling attending the same program in the out-of-catchment or out-of-district school (who will still be attending in the same program and school at the time the younger sibling starts).

Sibling out-of-catchment transfer applications

Sibling out-of-district applications

What happens if a school is full?

  • Schools that are at maximum capacity will not accept out-of-catchment applications or transfers, except for siblings who already attend an out-of-catchment school.
  • Placements at high-demand schools are determined through a lottery draw (with priority given to siblings).
  • Students who cannot get into their catchment school are placed in the next available school. In addition, they will be added to their catchment school wait list and are free to move if spots become available.

Programs of Choice

Please note students must already be registered with the district before they can apply for a Program of Choice.

French Immersion, Montessori, and Home Learners Program applications for the 2026-2027 school year is CLOSED. The waitlist will open on Monday, March 30 at 9 a.m.
